I hate him. I do think he captured the irreality of living in this place. He is a very good writer and like many good writers, an interesting character of his own creation.

I enjoyed the book. Especially because he stayed in my house (before I owned it) and liked it. I found the narrator/author to be a real complainer, but his misadventures were right on. Also loved the Shark book. Wish that author would write more. (And yes, there is a big LGBT population proportional to the size of Puna. If you look at the census info for 2000 and 2010 you will see that Puna has the highest proportion of same sex couples in the state. The census data does not actually count gay people, but a clue can be figured out from the number of same sex couples in households.)

I live in Boca Raton FL, in Palm Beach County Florida. AKA the richest county in the USA. (or so im told)
The weather is nice...and that is about it. The traffic is such that it takes me 45 minutes in the morning to go 8 miles to work. Everything is FLAT. no mountains no hills no nothing. Just strip mall strip mall strip mall. People are mostly assholes, (probably from the traffic) and everyone is all about who can drive the nicest BMW. It makes me sick.
