OK Kelena, I'll swing by this afternoon (late) and leave the jasmine pot by the entrance to your yard, hopefully away from public eyes. I'm sure I know which one is your house.

PlantitHawaii will have their Spring fruit tree sale in less than two weeks on Friday-Saturday, April 4-5. You will find a good selection of pommelo trees there. Bought three's from them years ago.

Kelena,
Try this guy, his nursery is in Kurtistown but he lives near you. I just got a vanilla orchid from him.

Kelena every one here seems to know sooo much about horticulture I doubt I will be enlightening many.I love the Datura just remember it a strong halucinagen and potentially fatal.S.W.Native American tribes used it to talk to birds comune with ghosts etc.Keep it away from children and pets.Dry a few leaves and make some tea and talk to the birds they do talk back!! I tried it a long time ago in a place far far away I strongly advise against it. No fun getting your stomach pumped while convulsing and hallucinating. The lessons I have learned...

Kelena,

As mentioned earlier, I've left a pot of jasmine plant, flowers, and some fruits for you behind the rock wall at your place (I'm pretty sure it is) this afternoon at 4:30pm. Hope I didn't leave them at the wrong house.

Iju!!!!!! A million mahalos! What a kind thing to do! I could smell the sweet fragrance 50 feet away. Wow -- the Jasmine Sambac is tremendous. And thank you for the pikake. Pommelo is also a knockout. I was unable to run out to catch you before you left, but do stop by again sometime so I can say thank you in person.

Do you think the Sambac is ready to go in the ground? I have a sunny planter with cinder soil in it. That fragrance really is tremendous. Made my day!

No, it's not ready for transplant yet. The new shoot just shows up recently. Wait until you see some root tip at the bottom drainage. Meanwhile give it some light fertilizer such as Miracle glo. It's an acid loving plant so rain water is good.

I'm really glad you like it. Enjoy.

Mahalo, Iju -- so I need to keep it in the little jar of water for the time being. It is awesome....so beautiful. I'm very touched.

I hope I didn't confuse you or maybe I'm the one who confuse.

The stem with flowers in the jar is the sample flowers for you to enjoy the fragrance for a day or two. Then you can pitch it.

Add: The potted plant is the triple flower jasmine, same variety as the sample flowers. I shouldn't label it as Pikake, my mistake. But on the other side of it I wrote "triple flower." Sorry.

I am happy to report that I have three young ylang ylang trees coming to me from Maui. I have no idea where I am going to put them, but I'll find a place.
