Ahhh, opihikao... Kaulana Na Pua... most beautiful poignant protest-song ever. Wonderful rendition(s) by true treasures. Terrific message on so many levels, including the various settings. Well worth another listen. Mahalo.

"Blow up your TV"
Wouldn't that release toxic elements into the soil and air?

"Throw away your Paper"
But please, into a recycling bin.
"I'm at that stage in life where I stay out of discussions. Even if you say 1+1=5, you're right - have fun." - Keanu Reeves

Ha! You're right. Here are the (unauthorized)revised lyrics; Apologies to Mr. Prine, although I suspect he would understand.

"E-cycle your TV
Recycle your Paper
Move to the country
Build you a sustainable home
Plant a little organic garden
eat a lot of unsprayed peaches
Try an find Jesus(Buddha, or the flying spaghetti monster)
on your own ......"

"Sorry, for you all that are taking the show WAY too seriously, you clearly have no idea of what media television does to create shows." Oneselfish.

You come on here, ask/demand for help, get it ... Throw up your lame opinions and misguided theories, then turn into a petulant child when disagreed with and insult whomever is around.

I hope the show paints you as you are so then you may see what we do already.

I gotta agree with pog.Dude is all set up for failure!

You can't afford a house in Florida?

The blighted areas of Palm Beach are comparable to some of the places you are thinking of moving to in Hawaii. The difference for you in Hawaii is you will never get a job !

Stay on the Madland and invest and make your money there.

Good to have pog back !!![Smile]

Who are YOU to tell me if I will get a job ? Who said I NEEDED a job ? Who said I cant afford a house in Florida ? I have owned 4.

You make judgements with NO knowledge.

When you hate, its because you hate yourself.

Maybe, your the one not happy eh ? [Big Grin]

Maybe YOU the one that is a failure eh ? [Big Grin]

I can see who is not living "aloha", guess maybe YOU the hypocrite, eh ? [Big Grin]

Oneself, Welcome to the islands. You will do just fine here, working or not. I don't think you really wanted to move to HAWAII to work more anyway?. Puna is still very affordable for just about everyone but the folks who were born and raised. Most of my friends that grew up here have not been able to afford to buy. Some of my family moved to the east coast 10 years ago and now they plan to return and buy, in fact my brother is moving back next year from Florida also. Plenty of truth to making your money before you reach these islands?. Puna has many subdivisions that offer reasonable priced land, check out Leilani, Ainaloa, Paradise Park, and maybe Seaview or blacksands?. I know of several houses for less than $200,000 that are selling all around Puna right now, so you should take your time and find one you really like. When your looking for a home, you are welcome to take a look at my place here in Leilani as we are going to be putting our house on the market this summer. We simply have outgrown this home on an acre, 7 of us now. Good luck and safe travels to ya.
