Went there tonight and it was excellent. Had the filet mignon. Delicious [:p]. I really do think it is hit and miss, but when it's on, it is oh so ono. []

I'll second that. She is cool. My favorite is the passionfruit margarita. As opposed to Luquin's which probably has the worst margarita I've ever had. You'd think for a Mexican restaurant, they would know how to make that drink...

Someone once told me on the big island in Hilo there is or was a restaurant that served a (one pound laulau )Is kaleos the place?or was that just a story?

I've had the 1lb laulau; forget the name of the place, but it's next to East Hawaii Vet in that stripmall by Sears. If it's still there.

its Kuhio Grille. By the Starbucks and I believe the KFC behind Sears.
I haven't been there in at least 2 years.

I wonder if the quality (or lack thereof) of margarita at Luquins coincided with Bella's departure. You know she tended bar at Luquins for many years.
