Any book clubs in the area?

I just did a fairly exhaustive on-line search and turned up nothing in the Hilo or Puna area. Very surprised by this. Am I looking in the wrong places, or do they not exist?

Thanks! I just called the Hilo Library and there are none there for adults- although someone who works there, "might know of one" and she'll call me back later on - when she gets to work...

JFYI, but I know several people in book clubs and my understanding is they are basically invite only and as they keep control of the size, invites only happen when someone leaves. Maybe ask around friends and workmates?

Hey Nana, I didn't get it. Sometimes those things are hit and miss. Never heard of a book club that is "invite only"! Wow, maybe times have changed. I've belonged to a few in the past, and my grandmother used to always go to one.

I am in a FB bookclub and it is invite only but more about keeping the size manageable.
