He is going to make 10 times more leaving for private sector versus continue working for county government. Plus not having to deal with the fruitcakes on the county council that keep wanting more bureaucratic laws that the county is unable to enforce or even keep track of. Ultimately, the litigation that is only starting would have fallen in his lap. That has to be a perk for leaving right there.

With 26 years as a government employee, he could get the same pay in the private sector and still make plenty of money - he will get a fat pension check for those 26 years.

I'm also glad Mitch won, but I have to say Lincoln seems like a very decent fellow. I'm not sure who's to blame for our lack of effective police work. Anyone have a solution?
