Emergency Community Meeting Announcement: Per request of the community, we are hosting to meeting to hear your thoughts and ideas addressing squatting, hard drugs, and houselessness in Pahoa town. The prosecutor's office, fire department, and police department will be joining us.
When: Monday, Jan. 23 at 5:30pm
Where: The Pahoa Community Center

Bringing this back to the top because this is such an important meeting. I hope many people will make an effort to attend and let their thoughts be known.

I'm really disappointed in Jen Ruggles. Luquin's is in her district, yet it was Eileen that people turned to for help.
Jen got a chance to talk and basically rambled until Mitch came to the rescue.
Not only did Eileen setup the meeting (got the space, brought food, etc.) but she also did all of the meeting facilitating, and even helped clean up when done.
Jen didn't even help out, and the fire was in her district!!!
Argh.

It's almost as if the Pahoa Main Street Association doesn't consider themselves to be part of the District of Puna.
