Strange heli again over lower hpp

Saw one heli this afternoon swooping lower HPP. Dark. No markings. Not such a small size.
Not seen before and many others have been.
Something attached aft, right side, just past midway, out from main fuselage. Camera?

In reference to Pahoateds posting.... even though a State may legalize it, it is still a Felony by National standard. I've been waiting for the fallout to happen with the gap difference of a federally non taxed substance sold thru a State approved dispensery ( get real, it' s the new tobacco crop, Phillip Morris is even rumored to be in on it) and the Feds not getting their piece of the action. It usually ends up as a Federal tax evasion charge. Think of it as modern day moonshine and you see what I mean. If it is a "controlled" approved substance, it's gotta have that tax stamp like cigarettes and hooch! In Ca you need a permit to grow, but if there is a forest or range fire coming thru, you are SOL. They use prison inmates to fight the fire and the crew chief keeps them far far away. Then they discovered its cheaper to "burn it where it lays" this way. Count your blessings! As far as Vmabry, when told to get hours, where else comes to mind? You are dead on! (Hi honey!!) James, see my above post. Every piece of Government property has to have its Government Identification Number ( and we thought we were so special to get another number to go by) on it, hence the " serial number" found on commercial aircraft at the tail. FAA prefers contrasting color, Military tends to "blend" the colors on camo by using black lettering as their "standard" color for lettering, and doesn't detract from the intent of camo. IMHO, an occasional heli buzzing by is way less annoying than those darn "nylon gnats", or Ultralight Aircraft buzzing around at 2-300 ft over and over, round and round....up and down da beach... Round and round...

same helicopter went over Kehena Beach 2 times on Sunday too... so was flying the whole Puna coast

to me it looked like it had a hoist on the side by the door area?? but I guess it could have been a camera too...

First of all, I would like to know what kind of fertilizer you are using, because you sure know how to grow them big if they are all the way over the subdivision! Even if they are, I don't see how that's a problem. Heliconias are beautiful flowers, one of my favorites. As far as I'm concerned, the stranger the better! If you really think about it, they're pretty darn strange to begin with. Weird pointy edges, almost too sharp if you ask me. When you have children in the yard, I say it's better they do grow way up high, over the subdivision, out of harms way. Why just the other day...

I have seen with my own eyes- Navy planes (unmarked) flying 100 feet above the water - maybe 100 meters offshore spraying as they cruise up the coast from Kalapana towards Hilo , many others have seen this as well.
Also I have seen a 4 engine commercial aircraft at same altitude and distance from shore doing the exact same spraying - I have seen black unmarked helicopters flying this same route several times at close distance and they never have id's.
A friend told me that a couple of weeks ago he saw on the horizon at night from the Kalapana area a brilliant green (think light sabre green as in star wars), and the instant he cognizes it mentally , the sphere seems to cognize his now awakened cognition and instantly at unbelievable speed , goes straight up and then disappears. I have seen ufo's do the same thing as this - they instantly know when you see them.
Several friends and I were near cinderland one night on the access road and we saw a glowing white sphere that seemed to be just above the tree line from our vantage point. The moment we saw it, it saw us and for a moment came directly at us - then stopping quickly, then it began moving in it's original direction, and we lost site of it. Three days later my friend who lives at cinderland was laying in bed and describes what he is sure was a scanning of his entire body from head to toe , section by section (think vertical scans from head to toe in narrow slices of his body).
So he wasn't concerned as his beliefs are that they are the friendly kind of aliens - personally I think he is wrong about that for many reasons.
So no matter how many times someone tells you it's nothing but some normal operation of some kind or other, he is essentially telling you to go back to sleep and forget about it. I don't buy it- it is not normal and you need to wake up and realize that their is something strange going on and it is most certainly to do with the SSG , A TOTALLY unaccountable to anyone , army, navy and airforce , with apparently unlimited funds.
I will say it again here - we all live in a world of Spirit, both good and bad, and as it happens we may be nearing the end game. I don't think that there is anything we can do but align ourselves with the good , and you know that I am all for Jesus, and believe that
his spirit is whom you have to turn to, there is no other spirit that can do what he can, and that is save your soul.

OK, I think Bob has finally went off to the deep end. I am an Atheist and science and reasoning are my tools. The mind see's what it wants to see. Think about anything hard enough and pretty soon you convince yourself you're seeing all kinds of things. Tho a little bit of shrooms helps with this as well.

Funny just as I type this I am hearing a helicopter over head... Maybe it's Jesus!

Wow, I just love the way this has evolved...............

I am not worried about aliens coming in the night to scan my body. I am however concerned that a couple calls came up empty on what this UH 72 was doing and what type of equipment it was carrying off the right side. It was not green harvest, they were not flying that day. It was not search and rescue. It was not flying out to the volcano on either occasion I saw it.

It was doing low circles over Kapoho a few weeks back, and again over Hpp. FAA Flight Standards in Oahu has told me that unless there is a search and rescue taking place, inspections, or there is MJ plant recovery in process and the copter is flying cover for officers, they are not to fly under 1000 ft over residential.

This guy was way under 1000'. There is an amazing distance visually and not to mention sound difference between 0' to 500' to 1000' with a helicopter. Unless you are blind and deaf that is.

There were no ariel inspections of power lines. It really is such a simple question yet zero answers as to why and what they are doing. They are not flying along the ocean, not up by volcano, but right through lower HPP out to Kapoho. I am fine with tourist, green harvest, fire dept, coastquard, or police flights. They are what I consider the regulars.

This is not regular. Someone broke FAA rules on altitude and nothing was posted to the public as to why. If military is conducting flights in our area, the press would know. The fact that the flight tower couldn't even give info on this UH 72 sighting is rather strange.

You can complain but you will have to have proof. The FAA rule is no lower than 500 feet above non-congested areas. HPP is considered non-congested. It isn't the height that bothers people, it is the sound at lower heights. This is happening all over the mainland with the introduction of V-22 Ospreys at military bases. Also, the distress with the noise can affect the impression of the altitude and human analog estimation of height can be very inaccurate ("feeling" height versus measurement/calculation).

Also, the military doesn't have to inform anybody about what they are doing, except the commander in chief (CINC). They usually do this by invoking national security. Democracy is an opiate dispensed to the masses to give them the illusion they have some kind of power.

These are the FAA regulations. Notice the 500 foot limit has a qualifying paragraph for helicopters, they can go lower if no hazard is presented:

If it is a big enough concern, invest in a non-laser electronic rangefinder (using a laser rangefinder on aircraft is a federal offense) plus make a little inclinometer (astrolabe). Have a video camera set up with a time/date stamp. The rangefinder will give the slant angle distance. The inclinometer will provide the angle theta. Then, altitude = slant angle range (hypotenuse) * sin theta.

Or have your stereo set up with "Ride of the Valkyries" on it, turn it up, and scream at the helo, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning!" and beat them at their own game. Until the neighbors call in a complaint on you for making too much noise.
