CANDIDATE FORUMS

INVITATION TO CANDIDATES:
If you have (or intend to) file as a candidate for Council District 4 or 5 or for House District 4, this invitation is for you.

Malama O Puna will once again host a series of candidate forums as follows:
Thursday, June 5 Council District 4
Thursday, June 12 Council District 5
Thursday, June 19 State House Rep 4

All 3 forums will take place at the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility starting at 5:30 pm. They will start on time.

Candidates will be allowed 3 minutes for opening remarks. Then Malama O Puna will ask 3 or 4 questions on environmental topics. Each candidate, in rotating order, will be allowed 3 minutes to respond. There will then be a 5 minute break, followed by questions from the audience.

If you plan to attend, please email malamaopuna@yahoo.com to RSVP. This will allow us to make appropriate plans and to list your name in future press releases. If you haven't filed yet, remember the saying "You snooze, you lose". We will mail the invitations to those who have filed, because we get your addresses from the Elections Office.

At the moment the list is very short. The Trib-Herald and BI Weekly haven't even put it in their Calendars - perhaps tomorrow?
