Better go tell all those volcanoes around the world to stop with the CO2 output so you can continue to wrongly blame humans for it all.

Leilanidude -Just to clarify- are you saying that global warming is not related to human activity?

@leilanidude... 97% of all scientists... oh never mind. You aren't paying attention anyway, are you?

Climate change has happened many times in the past and will happen again, whether or not humans are around.

This is the line the Teapublicans use. Of course there has been climate change before. That isn't the point. The point is the climate change we are now observing and experiencing is due to human produced carbon dioxide. There are now ice cores taken going back 2 million years that have the atmosphere of that time trapped in bubbles, and the increase of human produced carbon dioxide is undeniable (although it is denied all the time by the GOP and Teapublicans).
The climate changes before humans were around didn't affect humans. The climate change going on now is affecting all the humans on this planet. The effects are subtle now but they are going to increase until even the most unbelieving will start to believe. By then, it will be too late. It is like not believing in avalanches caused by snowboards and going snowboarding in an avalanche area. By the time you believe snowboarding can cause avalanches, it will be too late. It's actually too late now. Even if we brought carbon dioxide emissions to zero right now, the decrease would not produce noticeable change until 2040.

You are hilarious! I bet they all migrated north to enjoy the cooler weather of the Ice Age - NO BIG DEAL!

I guess the next big scare is that humans are causing this island to slowly drift North and sink, too.

Why did you hijack this thread? The topic is Sierra Club endorsements - remember? Endorsements in general would be a natural and expected segue, but climate change is not.

Maybe its too far afield, but in general the SC and elected representatives talk about / are faced with questions about climate change constantly, yes? So I think it's natural to wonder about Joys opinions on the subject.
Interesting footnote being: (for the most part) all these numerous threads concerning various politicians seem to be oriented around individuals opinions other than the representative(s) in question. I'd like to hear more from the candidates! It'd be nice if they would/could also post on punaweb - potentially withour fear of being lambasted - lol.
