To bring this to a Puna related topic, this man, Rap Replinger, had ohana in Kapoho. His mother, who was a Kumu hula decades ago, had roots in our Puna, and was the epitome of a Hawaiian woman. He was one of the original members of "Booga Booga" back in the old days of local comedy. Rap Replinger must have given his mother a few gray hairs, however, he was a brilliant entertainer, and made his own mark here in Hawai'i.
