Watch for Burglars - Across Malama Market
#1
FYI: If you know or see anything, please advise this family (contact number below - Source: Facebook newsfeed)

Scumbags! [Sad!] JMO.

For those who haven't seen my post or my husband's posts on recent events that took place yesterday, here's a small recap. My in-laws were victims of burglary. Around 10am on Saturday 06/28, while they were working at Pahoa Sacred Hearts church, their house (across the street from Malama Market-Pahoa) was broken into.

The @$$holes took the entire jewelry box, TV, a lifetime worth of tools (more than one can even begin to list), a pressure washer, saws, a chain saw, weed eater, custom fishing poles, hunting guns and many other things. Please call me for more details.

I'm asking for all your help. Maybe someone was driving on the highway past Malama Market around this time and saw a car and or truck pull in or out. Keep your ears and eyes open. See if your neighbors come home with new "used" things. Pay attention while you drive through streets. Check garage sales. Check Craigslist, Ebay. Read FB feeds.

Listen to friends who scored deals on these items. Anything. And please share any and all of our posts. Thank you. Just hoping to get the merchandise back. Someone's gotta know something. 938-8862.

Hate to hear these story's. I really hope your in-laws can recover their stuff. I would hate to think it was anyone from church but it sounds to me that the thief might have known your in laws would be gone at that time. Seems it would take some time to grab that much stuff, daylight robbery to boot. Stealing custom fishing rods will earn them a special place in hell.

These stories are terrible, I hope they find some sort of justice. With the amount of stuff gone, I would agree must be someone know they be gone a long time.

Will keep an ear and eye out as always. Aloha!

Very sorry to hear that. Not sure where the house is in relation to Malama Market but might be worth checking with the businesses in the area who have security cameras. Just suggesting to try and help. I'm not advocating big brother or anything else.... Or maybe the cops already did that.

Or perhaps it is an employee at a nearby business that can see all movements at all times. Or maybe one of the "regulars" that frequent the lot. If I found somebody using my custom fishing pole I would be tempted to dangle him over a cliff until he squeeled.

Are you a human being, or a human doing?

I thought this deserved another bump to the top to see if new info or arrest, or better yet any stolen items recovered?. Shame on those who took. Sounds like they may have known the owners schedule and had been there before. Home invasions are very serious and usually repeated if they get away with it. I hope the victims can find peace,be able to sleep and trust again.
