Punaweb is...
#1
Oneself's post comparing Punaweb and a hair salon made me go ahead and do something I've wanted to for awhile.

Finish the following sentence: Punaweb is...

Use the metaphor, simile, or analogy of your choice. Go here:
http://www.copyblogger.com/metaphor-simi...ifference/
if you really want to know the difference between the three.

Here's mine to start things off:
Punaweb is like a big potluck, everyone brings something different to the table, there is something for everyone's taste, and it only takes a few loudmouth jerks to temporarily ruin it for everyone. Luckily the party is big enough that when they show up you can just move to a different conversation.

This should be an interesting topic! I don't go to a hair salon, my head is shaved bald, can't add a comment.

Deserteagle,
I don't either, so you can still play, I doubt oneself spends a lot of time in hair salons either. Although in a small town the barbershop and hair salon are often the best places to find out what is going on.

More entertainment than TV most days. A valuable resource that enabled and encouraged me to move to Puna with less doubt than I thought possible 6 months ago. MAHALO puna web and MAHALO Mr. Tucker

like a hair salon/barber shop. You can leave better than you came in, but you may hear a ton of bullsh*t while you are in there.

Guess I can stray a little off topic. That might be one of the Puna symptoms.

An oblique collection of people and views from left wing communist douchbags to right wing nazi ninnies with a smattering of people in between. Always an interesting read.

I think you are supposed to use a metaphor, analogy or simile.

For example - Puna is like a car. Nice when its new but always depreciating until you've been on it for 20 years, than its classic.
