It wasn't Tiffany or her attorney that pulled the video it was the producer. He felt intimated by an email he received this morning from Mr. Strauss, Tiffany's attorney

Not Tiffany or her attorney -- the producer, after being contacted by ... Tiffany's attorney?

It amounts to the same thing, really. The video would still be posted if not for Tiffany and her attorney.

Kathy says;
"and the bulk of the opponents were regarded as transplants who didn't want a business infringing on their now gated and elite subdivision."

Thank you for the correction. I was certain my good friend Marcus was an organic and hydroponic farmer without a gate.

But since you're not a transplant, [Wink]You should know.

I don't know why it's so important to you to discredit whatever I say snorkle. In this case you jumped the gun.

I said that Steve Strauss filed suit against the County of Hawai'i on behalf of Scott Watson (and the property owner).

The Case # is 3CC13-1-000326. Filed in May 2013.

PARTIES
Seq. Name Party Type
001. HILO PROJECT LCC PL
002. WATSON, SCOTT PL
003. TODD, BOBBIE JEAN LEITHEAD DF
004. HAWAI'I COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT DF
005. AU, DEAN DF
006. HAWAI'I COUNTY WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISS DF
007. COUNTY OF HAWAI'I

Last court action on the case was the Court DENIED Strauss's Motion for Summary Judgment last August. I did hear about more than the case, but it's been a while and I'd have to refresh my memory so didn't get into how it turned out.

The only point to bringing it up was that she regularly uses an attorney who recently (if not still litigating, within the last year) sued the County of Hawai'i. Which may or may not matter to the voters.

I am curious now if you are capable of saying you were incorrect in jumping on me.

snorkle, what does bulk mean? It doesn't mean ALL, so it does not exclude Marcus. I have been to the community meetings and heard who is commenting, and what I am saying is there was not a consensus that Hu Honua was bad, and that there were locals who resented the suit because they wanted jobs and energy production, and they felt that the plant had a right to be there, being as it is Industrial Zoning, not Ag.

I personally didn't take any position on the controversy, as I only live on the border of Pepe'ekeo.

I am a transplant and I don't make remarks about transplants as if I am not. I was relaying the position I heard from born and bred in the area people at community meetings. There is no question in my mind that it was good to ask questions about health and safety regarding the plant.

But this is just you trying to divert the point again. I don't care if Steve Strauss represented against Hu Honua. The point was that he filed suit against the County of Hawai'i, the entity for which Tiffany Edwards Hunt desires to work for the next eight years if the voters approve. (I realize she does not work for COH at the moment.)

You said he "is suing", not that he "had sued". Therein lay my confusion. I am sorry. I gather you are against litigation with the County?

In so far as County taxpayers pay the cost burden, unless the suit benefits the taxpayers. I'm against litigation that seeks to take away public access to local fishermen and families too. I'm against trying to dismantle the County's ability to designate setbacks from the ocean in special management areas, and I'm against McMansions hogging the oceanfront where there is traditional public access.

Has the Hawaii Tribune Herald got wind of this latest Tiffany messup? Of course, their motto is "Yesterday's news tomorrow," so it may take them a while. Or they may be waiting for some sort of complaint or action to be filed

Edited to add: Thanks to KathyH for pointing out I had posted this in the wrong thread and wrong forum.

Yes, they got a big nose full but they have not done the story yet. The reason I was given is that they are waiting for a determination from the county clerk.
