Okay, not really like snapping plastic pieces together but I couldn't think of a better analogy. Has anyone ever seen or worked with something like these "instant building frame" connectors?

Neat idea. Seems like there should be some webbing in between that tube steel though, or maybe I'm underestimating the strength of those welds vs 8-16 ft of moment arm.
Of course, anyone who's knocked together a shed knows the walls are the easy part. Foundation and roof take most of the material and time, and this kit doesn't do much for those. (Unless you're building a very small building on a level parking lot.)
I was hoping you spotted an AAC interlocking block building.

Looks about 195 times more expensive than a small bag of nails.

There is a company called Dacart on the mainland that does concrete blocks in very stylish designs. I don't know about the feasibility of using them in Hawaii, but maybe you could buy the molds....
