Rob, you are to be commended for the service you provide the local area.

BUT

Having paid advertisers does not disqualify a business from being a public service.

Here's how it's worked;

Tiffany didn't always have advertisers. When her blog developed a sizable following, other businesses and services saw an opportunity to reach potential customers and made a decision to sponsor her. If these businesses see her blog as becoming irrelevant, they will probably decide to pull their ads.

I, and hundreds of others, use BIC, as well as punaweb, and occasionally, the person with the cute kid, daily; to get different perspectives on local happenings.

I agree with obie that any poo poo about BIC is actually about personal problems with Tiffany. That's fine, but please don't try and color it differently.

Some people don't use Tiffany's site at all. They merely check it for useful election coverage, questionnaires, interesting discussions and entertainment like discussions on banning trolls.

By the way; Check out Alan McNarie's piece in the current Ke Ola Magazine about local architect Boone Morrison. It's sure to be irrelevant, boring, and uninteresting; and it probably won't discuss Tiffany's address issues.

Referring to the BIC:

It's been that way for a very long time. I suspect that might be the reason for the loaded comments on that site, but that's just my opinion. You have to be quite determined and patient to post something there these days.

Look Obie, I am not and never have been a racist, and calling me one is unacceptable.
I've been a Punaweb member for seven years.
I did not come over here to discuss weird theories, but it a true I got frustrated with the lack of a timeline from the police docs and posted one.

I stopped posting on Punaweb for a while because I was disgusted with people who would call racist in order to play the bully. I didn't want to be around you and others like you.

However, it was a shame to shun a whole worthwhile community simply because Obie was in it, so I came back. But I'm not putting up with you saying I am a racist, because that is inflammatory false garbage. In my life I have always stood up against racism, from the time I first experienced real racism in my neighborhood at age nine.

Obie, try to ignore me and I'll ignore you.

The funny part is you were a big critic of Tiffany when I liked her. Your sour old posts aimed at her are still around in print. I think your new "don't diss the Tiff" position is mostly to be oppositional. I could have some fun with posting about how I like things that you like. Then watching you turn your opinions on a dime just to be contrary. []
