The health care worker who just contracted Ebola while taking care of the patient in Dallas is also a teacher. She teaches quarantine safety protocol. The speculation from CDC is that she may not have been careful enough while taking off her gear.

It seems the CDC is not doing a very good job understanding the contagion of this disease. If those who teach quarantine safety can't protect themselves then we must assume we cannot contain the virus, and it's too dangerous to allow travellers into our airports from the countries in West Africa that are not contained.

I'm not clear on how many troops we have sent there but it's time to bring them back and put them all into quarantine in my opinion.

"we must assume we cannot contain the virus"

You assume wrong. Nigeria managed to do it, as have many other places in the past.

Better to stop it as early as possible than just wait and hope someone else stops it.

Instead of picking apart my sentences, why not try to grasp my entire point and reply to it.

Once again, if the ICU nurse who took care of the Dallas patient, who also just happens to be an instructor of quarantine protocol, has an unknown breach and catches it from her first Ebola patient, don't you see a serious problem here with containment? Were we not promised complete safety? And is it really wise to send 3000 troops into the worst areas? What about the health care workers who will be looking after them?

Denial is not a river in Egypt.

What we do not know, is if the nurse contracted it during his 1st visit to the hospital, or later, when he was admitted as a possible Ebola patient. Speculation on our part, is worthless.

CNN is reporting today that the hospital had no procedures in place for Ebola patients. Pure incompetence. People learn from this.

Picking apart your sentences? What, by quoting your own words?

What do you suggest, does it involve huddling in a corner and hoping it goes away?

Ebola can and has been contained, many times. Running away is not the answer.

Wow I'm new to these forums and disappointed. Right away I've got a poster on my back picking apart my sentences to take my words of out context and is now accusing me of promoting running away from Ebola? The only coward here I see is someone who cannot contribute his own opinion without disrespecting others.

Welcome to Punaweb! Yes, sometimes we disagree here. Quoting cliches about Egyptian geography doesn't help.

You suggested we withdraw help from those suffering from an Ebola outbreak. I don't agree.
Sure, it lowers our chances of contamination, but only in the short term. Prevention is key. IMHO
