From Dan Domizio today:
Aloha!
Just thought I'd take this opportunity to let you all know that PCMC has committed to open a clinical "annex" at what was The Neighborhood Place of Puna. This site would be south of the projected lava flow and intended to make access to care easier for those who live on that side.
It is unclear exactly what we would be able to deliver care at that site, but preparations to occupy the space will begin today.
We will need a small refridgerator some small desks/ tables/ chairs. If you have stuff that you think might be useful, please let us know.
Thanks and good luck to us all.
Dan

Where exactly is this? How can we contact Dan to deliver donations?

Just walk into the PCMC office in Pahoa Marketplace. They make it very easy.
ETA: You can specify how you want the donation used, e.g. for the new annex.

The location is directly across from Pahoa High School.

I know Habitat for Humanity restore has desks right now and some other things that might be useful. I'm not sure what kind of deals can be made but prices are pretty cheap in any case.

If you have furniture to donate, you can email either Dan or myself and we will make arrangements. My email is renesiracusa@hotmail.com. If you wish to make a cash donation earmarked for the South Pahoa annex, you can just walk into our (original) clinic at Pahoa marketplace, next door to Clinical labs, and talk to front desk - we will accept cash, checks, Visa, etc. Mahalo nui loa.
PS - if the donated furniture is oldish and funky, we may also need some volunteers to scrub it down and slap on a fresh coat of paint.

We are truly blessed to have our current Urgent Care center and now this Annex that will be south of the flow. The leadership of Dr. Dan and his dedicated staff is appreciated. It is an example of truly caring about people, us, and not money, which most of the U.S. health care system is all about. We will make a donation, and encourage others to do so as well, small or large, let's help out!

This morning Dan and I decided to open a new "account" in our books so that donations for the South Pahoa annex can be earmarked. If/When you donate, please write "Lava Ledger" on the subject line of your check so that your donation will not go to general operations or the emergency room.

What else do you need ? Besides money and more time.
And is there a pay pal email address too for those who use that all the time?

If any of you would like to help PCMC with moving expenses and costs to set up the south side annex clinic, make your checks payable to PCMC and write "annex clinic" on the subject line. You can drop them off at the clinic's front desk or mail to 15-2662 Pahoa Village Rd., PMB 8741, Pahoa, HI 96778. If you want to pay cash, you can do so at the clinic and they'll give you a donation receipt then and there. You can also put your donation on plastic at the clinic. All donations are tax deductible.
mahalo nui loa,
Rene
