I'm always late with my holidays, so this is in part a very late Thanksgiving, a winter solstice celebration, and a little Yuletide cheer. I hope that all take a bit of time to appreciate what we do have :

- Thanks Rob for keeping this forum going, and all the patience required

- Thanks that the snow is up on the mountain, instead of in my driveway

- Thanks that the coqui have given us a "Silent Night" or two

- Thanks that several ohia in my year that I thought had succumbed to ROD are covered in new growth all along their trunks

- Thanks that eggnog is going on sale while I still have a half bottle of JD

- Thanks that 2018 is drawing to a close, and 2019 offers a new start

- Thanks that I live in Puna - for all its extremes, both good and bad, I can't imagine living anywhere else.
