So, how is this affecting you? You paying taxes? And if you are is about a cent out of it.

If you were homeless, or even not, where would you go?

Most of them are guys that fought for this country, but found themselves lost within the system.
I am no one to pass judgment, as I am for helping them out.
I met them. Sad, they were abandoned.
So give up your Republican, Armed forces to make a better state, and have compassion for the guys that need help. The VA has done nothing to help them. Your Wahine has supported you for years Kane. Have sympathy for others that are not as lucky as you.

You sure do pass judgement on others though.
I believe there is something wrong with you, based upon many of your posts. [B)]

I don't recall citing my opinion on this. Yet another hysterical ranting is formed ex nihilo? I guess some people simply like to start fires, just an irresistible impulse I suppose? Obviously the words that sound like no, nodda, nein never registered before opening mouth and inserting foot.

Pahoated,
I hadn't heard of that before in that context but I am aware that we do have a person down here in Waa Waa that most people claim is the story as to why he's here, though he's not homeless because they gave him the house here to stay in. But similar scenario I suppose, so yes, I've seen that.

I just found the two articles odd as the jobless rate drops, the homeless rate increases and no less it's people from out of state/new residents. I also heard they are building a homeless compound just outside of Honolulu in some industrial area.

Also, I do agree with you on the impacts of homelessness in a community. I suppose that's why Honolulu is building the homeless compound out there. I wonder if anything is in the works out here.

I'm curious, who is responsible for dumping these poor souls in Hawaii? Why aren't the communities where these pour souls originated taking care of them? Why are you so quick to blame so-called Republican Armed Forces for this? Do you know something we don't? Why are you accusing us of having lack of compassion? I don't believe you even know me.

There is more than enough wealth in this world to house, clothe, and feed everyone, and still reward people who work hard with more. Sadly, we'd rather blame the small percentage of homeless for our troubles, rather than the billionaires that extract trillions from our economy. Everyone wants to harp on the meth addict next door that costs us inconvenience; no one wants to harp on the banks that defrauded millions out of their livelihoods and retirements. We're ready to spend another trillion trying to control the middle-east, and yet we scoff at the homeless veterans coming back.

Wake up people, wake up!

Personally, I don't like to be ripped off by sociopathic bankers or narcissistic drug addicts. I also resent shelling out tax money to their enablers and accomplices. I stand up to corporate abuse, neighborhood evils, and bureaucratic sadism everyday. They're not mutually exclusive. Hope you aren't trying to excuse one bad behavior because someone else is behaving badly. That smacks of self-pity, the hallmark of a looser.
