Researchers at the National Turkey Producers Association have determined an at home diagnostic for determining if your turkey is safe to eat.
Following cooking by any method, infected turkeys will develop green colorations across the wings and thighs.
This is due to a chemical produced by the virus.
IF YOUR TURKEY TURNS GREEN IN THESE AREAS AFTER COOKING, DO NOT EAT IT. If it does not turn green, it is safe to eat.

Thanks ironyak.
National Report publisher Allen Montgomery has also stated to the legitimate press that in no way should anyone construe the National Report as real news:
"It is our opinion that if a person is too lazy to check for multiple references [or at least one other source] ... and they spread misinformation around as fact, then they are to blame for their own stupidity, not us," he said.

No worries; much of their content is almost believable as their satire isn't as outlandish, or as funny imo, as The Onion

Still, the undercooked stuffing from outta da bird has caused many a bad stomach. Be careful on that one.

Good plan with the fish. I'll only eat a store bought turkey if I'm suffering a massive bacterial infection.
The lakes of antibiotics pumped in there really helps. And they're delicious.
Btw, ironyak, it's still hilarious how many people still take The Onion's stories as fact.

Wow, I'd never heard of the National Report before. Some of their stuff is actually quite funny. The headlines were clearly ridiculous but thought I'd visit the science/tach section which really gave it away. The Rosetta story was entertaining as was the article about twitter requiring passport info.
Have to admit, though, The Onion does it better.

We do not consume turkey.
Green or not.
