When the employes were fired. The board gave the reasons for the firings. In this state you can be fired for no reason. Roseanne DID not step down.

There are very biased opinions being stated as facts concerning the HPP Board from a faction I will call the fired employees support group (FES). The FES states as fact that there is a lawsuit for employees who were fired for no good reason and that the employees were fired illegally. The FES has provided links on this punaweb thread to the fired employees lawsuit. There have been threats made to people who have spoken against these fired employees. There have been 4 punawebbers on this thread who have been threatened by the FES group for posting reasons why they thought the firings were legit. Several of these punawebbers have removed all their posts out of fear due to the threats of the FES (fired employees support group). So you can't even read what they posted that the fired employees support group didn't like. A new Board member who was sworn in resigned before her first meeting because she was physically accosted and threatened by the former employees support group. She explained what happened to her in a HPP meeting when she resigned. This threatening behavior was again described by her husband at the HPPOA General membership meeting. The incident was reported to the police. The current HPPOA Vice President reported to the police that had her pet chickens' necks broken and they were thrown into her pool. The current HPPOA President stated she has had email and phone harassment and has been physically accosted by a person who was putting up lawsuit signs in the HPP easements. The voices of those who think the employees were fired for legit reasons have been silenced by physical violence toward animals, physical confrontations, threatening email, threatening written posts and phone threats. Many of the statements posted here by the fired employees support group are flame thrown insults targeted to bait those who may want to say something about reasons the fired employees should have been fired. When the person takes the bait to post about the alleged bad behavior and wrong actions of the fired employees, then the FES (fired employees support group) responds that these statements made as posts on punaweb will be used in the lawsuit as defamation. There is not equal representation of both sides on this punaweb thread. Read the HPPOA minutes on he HPPOA.net website. Start with February 2014 minutes. Come to HPPOA meetings. Join a committee. Contact your district representatives and talk to them if you have concerns. As with all lawsuits and all firings, there is more than one side. Take the time to find out for yourself, outside of this biased threatening thread on punaweb.

FlyingSurfer states to you all that the BOD gave the employees a reason for their termination - NOT! If you know FlyingSurfer please tell me because I was there and I wasn't given any reason, shown any courtesy or consideration for my 2 1/2 years of hard work, dedication and experience. I had a paper thrown on the GM's desk in front of me that didn't even have my name on it and was told I'm terminated, get your things and don't ever step foot in this office again! We were treated like common criminals in front of our co-workers. It is fact employment in the State of Hawaii is at- will and we all understand this but the hostility in which we had to experience was unjust, unwarranted and extremely unprofessional. There were owners there acting as Security Guards for heavens sake. Experiencing the actions of these BOD members Common sense tells me that if they had a valid reason they would have been more than happy to share this right then and there and I would have expected to be handcuffed and taken off in the paddy wagon for the manner in which these terminations were conducted!

Guess not. still posting.... This has turned into a thread of fired employees and the people who are siding against the HPPOA association and supporting the fired employees. Some answers that were provided by HPP Board members about the reasons the employees were fired can be found on the HPPOA.net website. click on executive then click special membership meeting meeting July 28, 2014. See descriptions in these posted minutes of some of these fired employees actions under paragraph V.

HawaiiDeborah with all due respect I know where to find the info no need to direct me there, FYI that meeting was after the fact. I watched the meeting on video and watched them try to back peddle ...lie after lie after lie trying to come up with valid reasons, making them up as they went along. I watched in total disbelief! I know the facts!
