The bagrada bug was recently discovered on Maui. It affects many major vegetable crops in Hawaii, including chinese cabbage and tatsoi:

This is a real shame, but somewhat predictable. More invasive species are spread around the world by people than by all other combined means, particularly with air travel and shipping. Thanks for posting the link and I will keep an eye out for it but my gut feeling is it will probably be on this island within a year or 2.

Anybody know of a natural predator yet? I know they are a "stink" bug, and wonder about taste, but are roosters and chickens fast enough to eat them?

Throw a couple coqui amongst them and watch for results? Perhaps they will eat them, and leave the 'good bugs' alone?
