I like certain things in safeway and I shop there on the $5.00 Fridays stick to the sales and move on. Safeway is a business , which means it makes money. I don't see anything wrong with a company designed to be profitable . nothing is free .

But Safeway doesn't have Taiyaki - fish shaped waffles filled with everthing from chocolate and banana to red bean and purple sweet potato. But Maku'u Market does (and they are tasty today) plus many other goodies.

Add an extra open day or two and a few more staples beyond veggies and trips to Keaau / Hilo would be needed far less. IMO YMMV

Whales are very active off Kaloli Pt. this evening if anyone is interested, but the disturbing and quite urgent news is that I've run out of tea.

It's OK, everyone, emergency over. I knew I bought some tea the other day and after a frantic search I found it in my car's trunk. It had fallen out of the bag.

The trembling is getting better and my heart has stopped pounding. Thank you for the quick responses to the emergency situation but think I'll be alright now... Wink

The whales have qietened down by the way.
