Good grinds?
#1
I don't want to hijack the Indian Restaurant thread, so where do you find good grinds here in Hawaii? Tell us about restaurants on any Islands in Hawaii since Punawebbers travel.

What's good and why do you like it?

Hawaiian Style Cafe in Hilo and Lemongrass in Keaau.

Reason why I like it? Never had a bad meal for the times I've gone.

Hawaiian Style is my kids favorite. Good place for comfort food. The portions are ridiculously huge too (coming from a big guy). We nearly always have a second meal from leftovers..

If you like Poke, then Poke to Your Taste has ono grinds. The ahi is usually nice and fresh and you really get it to your taste since you put it together yourself kind of like a salad bar. Corner of Leilani and the Highway.

in Hilo, Miyo's Homestyle ...for decades.

great food, reasonably priced. food has a solid, bonafide authentic foundation, often with a delicious twist taken at well-chosen liberty.

plus the owner is awesome herself.
