So, what is new with Puna geothermal? Mike K finish growing that Snidely Whiplash mustache yet? Anyone rode in on a Horse to save the day? Has the location of the next "mine" been revealed? Has PGV put their new "shovel" back to work and started drilling again to find those bags of money? If so, how's the light and noise at night - anything like a train rumbling down the tracks?

Thank you for that. It's one of my favourite movies of all time. Unfortunately, there are still too many people who think the same way as that crowd wanting to burn the witch.

Incidentally, if you watch the clip again, you'll see Eric Idle biting his scythe. Apparently he did that to stop himself laughing out loud after John Cleese actied as a confused peasant!

Councilman Ilagan's office was nice enough to provide PGV's current drilling schedule. Here's what is going on till the next community meeting in 2 weeks. Looks like another week of drilling - any suggestions on where best to have a look/see/hear without setting off dogs and bothering residents?

As I have mentioned, numerous times, simply drive down Pohoiki Road and park anywhere near the old plant location. You could also drive down Pahoa-Kapoho Road and park around the plant entrance. But since you can't hear the drilling anyway, its a mute point.

I can't believe no one has commented on what went on at the last meeting, or put the video of the proceedings up? Maybe the whiners were too embarrassed about their false noise complaints that were lodged?

I was asking if there was a particularly good vanatge point for both seeing and hearing. I know which roads border the PGV property.

For the last meeting, was Big Island Video News or Occupy Hilo there? I haven't seen anything from them so was guessing not.

They report the noise level from their monitoring system.At 9:45 this morning it was about 60dB.
