This statement is false. Proxy voting will remain for us. Once again you post lies as facts in your all out effort to ruin our non-profits. Your damage over the last few years is actually coming to an end! Repairs are being made and you will be neutered, I mean neutralized. Just because you do not like something/someone does not mean we will allow you to try to ruin what we have built for more than 60 years. Your spewing vomitness of lies did manage to lower membership for a few years, but now the truth is indeed forthcoming. Your low opinion of people in general and your bashing of good faith efforts of volunteers will not get the results you have intended. We are moving forward.

I believe that would be the point. How "transparent" is a pocket full of proxies? How "local" is the vote of an absentee owner?
The proper use of proxies gives those not present at a meeting (for whatever reason) a voice & vote. For more than 60 years the system worked fine. With some adjustments and trust (which justthelies has tried to break over the years) proxies are a fine and appropriate way to participate. Absentee owners are often just a few steps away from being residents; its not fair to assume they dont know of the issues. They deserve a vote by proxy if they so choose.

The reasoning stood, that should these subdivisions reach build-out, the county could go bankrupt providing the required infrastructure.
I can hardly wait for the expensive lawsuit that forces the issue of "required infrastructure".
Thus far, County simply claims "no services for private subdivisions" (not "public") while also requiring permits ("in the County") and writing traffic tickets ("it's a through road").
I think it's past time that this was settled one way or the other.

it shouldn't be a county issue at all . we all have the ability as an association , to provide for our own infrastructure , either we go in that direction or we continue to squabble like children , the choice is up to us after all ! and besides , I don't think anyone actually wants sidewalks and gutters . I think most folks would be happy with a slightly better roads each and every year so that the worst is cared for first , and smooth where possible !
to this end I suggest the idea that as the dozier and equipment contractors that do come into the acres , and there's not that many , what if we ( instead of making it as difficult as possible for them to make a living also , and service the actual needs of the acres, )
( what if we agreed with the contractors !) as long as they leave the roads , that they have to drive their equipment on , and frontage work they have done on the commonly owned road system , in better condition than it was when they got there , placing at least some of the work that could be accomplished this way . iv spoken to several of the local dozier guys , they are all friendly and I know they wouldn't mind putting in a couple free hours of dozier or gravel or culvert or whatever ! if they could have free access to the roads without all the hassles of restrictions demanded by the minority they would be way happy to do the couple hours on their way in or out . after all we all know that driving the d9 down any of the roads in Hawaiian acres could not possibly hurt any part of our high quality roads ! this little bit would add up in no time and as I stated , I know they would agree to this .

I have an idea. Do you really want to improve HA or do you want to discuss it until your finger tips are raw? Across from pole #11 on Road 1 is a pile of cold patch. It's for repairing potholes in the pavement. I used some a couple of weeks ago to fill two potholes that were growing. It took me less than 10 minutes. There are a couple of other holes that are beginning to grow. Will you fix them now before they get big enough to swallow your car or will you wait for someone else to do it?
As soon as you all figure out the bylaws and approved procedures we can then get on to discussing how many angels can stand on a pin. In the meantime why not actually do something?

Right on Peter! Or if you cant physically do the work, join HARC for $60.00 a year and let them work for you! Then you are eligible for matching funds right in front of your lot if you like! A Bargain!
