From what I understand it is a whole new board of volunteers...why not give them a chance? Don't people deserve a chance? I have seen in the past that the road corp has been lacking...but what I have observed over the last few months is a group trying hard to accomplish anything with the small amount of funds they receive. I see an updated website with more information than any previous board has provided. A printed newsletter sent out, a facebook page, meetings posted and invites to them. The only thing they can't do is magically make the funds appear to fix the roads. So please don't discourage people from donating.

Oh my, justthelies, you are one unhappy person! And now I think you are one of those that has early alzheimers! I drive the same section of road you do and there has been work on the road at least 2-3 times each year. It may not be the work you think you deserve but then you had strange expectations when you moved into the Acres. It’s wonderful that you have spent some of your own money on the road. Why do you want to destroy how I and many others want to contribute by taking down our non-profits? This seems very selfish to me. There has never ever been a "complete and total lack of accountability" from our organizations. YOU have never understood how these things work and what “accountability" actually means. The financials are all in place, nothing missing. You, and some others that act and think like you, have attempted to keep membership down. It’s not gonna work anymore. back to the acres , the new HACA board members have wasted no time and sent out a two page list of by law changes . i hope every paid member receives one in the mail . the changes take careful reading and . there is an attempt to remove proxy voting and an attempt to make it very difficult to remove a board member . funny since this new board attempted to kick out the old past board .

Proxy voting will not be removed. Proxy use is being refined. Read it again. I have no problem with this new board sending proposed bylaws changes to the membership. If you dont like the proposed amendments, vote against them.

laurie i agree i hope and want them to send the letter to the membership , all the membership, it would be wrong to not send it to all members.

If the non-members also aren't paying dues, why should they care what HACA (or HARC) does or doesn't do?

JUSTTHEFACTS you still didn't say why you listed the pizza place along with un-permitted structures and bad roads as problems with the acres. How does pizza even relate to the topic of this thread?
