I don't have the liability insurance to publically announce my works, nor do I care to have HARC tell me to stop, so the efforts will remain anonymous.
liability insurance ,,,, really ! like someone may sue you personally for patching a hole in the road in Hawaiian acres ,, or weed whacking the corners on your road ? or stopping and picking up tourist litter ,,, wow that's just the lamest thing excuse iv ever heard ,,

Yes, exactly that, because the "private" road-shaped lot in HA is owned by the landowners, so there is no liability shield.
Just wait until someone figures out they can sue the entire subdivision...

Aloha, HARC asks that owners please participate in road work. We encourage everyone to take responsibility for the roads that they own and drive on. Money only buys so much material and so many hours of labor. I'm the B Road rep and I've chosen to spend on money on materials, using volunteers for labor. And HARC thanks them whole-heartedly. If you would like credit for the hours you've put into the roads, please let HARC know what you've done. Not only would we love to thank you for the work, but there might be some way we could contribute. The more people we have working on one project, the more we can get accomplished. Let's work together.

To sue the entire subdivision would mean each owner must be sued. Highly unlikely for this to happen with over 3500 separate Lot owners that live all over the world. The logistics and expense would seem prohibitive, don't you think? Therefore, I feel you & I are very safe from being sued for working on our own road lot.

Thank you! I'll add it to the list of suggestions. Sounds like it could be a good candidate.

Looks as though "barry" donated his commas. Wonder when Kazoo will use a few spare ones.

Good try Wolverine2! And I so enjoy your humor! My understanding of how the PEAR is maintained, cfscott, is that the county has assumed maintenance & liability thru having an easement agreement with several lotowners. This includes signage at each intersection from the top of 8 Rd to F Rd, over to 9 Rd and into Ainaloa subdivision. No signage would be provided for anywhere else in the Acres, so sorry, but 10 & C rd intersection will not be a county maintained intersection. When a sign goes missing, the public works dept is to be notified and the county will replace it.

Do you know that you can pay $30.00 dues to HACA today and get a ballot for the bylaws amendment vote coming up? Do you know you can pay $60.00 dues to HARC today and get matching funds for a project on your numbered road? Other perks come with both memberships. I paid my dues and am happy to support the non-profits that work for us everyday!
