At least these punks got a strong message. Can't just do anything you want and drive like a moron without consequences.
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

My guess is, it's the same individual who finally got nailed. I'd also surmise that if two different officers shot at her at different times in different locations under similar circumstances, the shots were justified.

So its worth your while to try and take off - you just might make it. Time for a Hawaiian Style Rodney King event... That`ll slow em down!

Second incident report " ...patrol officer observed a black Honda Civic traveling..."
First incident report "...A few moments later, the same car-a blue or teal Honda four-door sedan with BLACK or gray side panels-was observed traveling..." So what color was the first incident car? It had black or grey side panels. What ever the hell that means. Could have been the same car in both incidents with the first description more detailed than the second incident description. Both times the driver drove towards officers on foot? Coincidence or criminal mentality pattern of the same criminal? She thinks to herself - Run over the cop on foot.

quote: Hondas are a very attractive car for thieves, it is one of the most popular cars to steal to part out, so it easily could have been two different tweaker thieves driving stolen Hondas. We have no shortage of either Hondas or tweakers here, so I figure it is about a 50/50 chance it was the same car and driver.

It really was two different Hondas: http://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/news...d-shooting
Time to do something about the meth ravaging this island, because these events have ice head written all over them.

For f sakes. What a mess. So the new trend is to drive your vehicle at the police. What's next? Thankfully they got both of them.
Thanks for the update Shockwave Rider.

I was wondering about that, too. Would a cop be automatically justified in shooting if the car was heading toward him? Might that make a cop claim the car was heading toward him?

As time goes on, I think individuals that seem to think their decision process would be better suited when:
- They were not there and have no idea of the imminent circumstances. - Have absolutely no training or experience in the use of deadly force. - Armchair quarterback based on their personal agendas. - Make assumptions such "ice heads" written all over them along with the fact both incidents are the same individual by rushing to write here on this blog. FACTS not assumptions!

FACT: more cops are shooting more people than ever.
FACT: almost always "justified" FACT: if not in good physical condition, pulling a gun is easier that taking evasive action. FACT: lifetime believer in 2nd amendment, protecting those that protect us, but this is getting absurd. FACT: remember when a chance encounter with a LEO was a good thing? Not so much any more. ![]() David Ninole Resident Please visit vacation.ninolehawaii.com
