No, it doesn't. HVNP is a Federal park, which gives it magical preemption powers which a mere subdivision does not have.

I was speaking of property rights in general, not Federal rights. And in Mass. the citizens sued and won against pilots for all of all things, disrupting napping and the noise prevented people from having telephone conversations. Never mind property or constitutional or civil rights,LOL

I do know that some helicopters fly very low and it can be dangerous when they do. For example : a friend was sitting in the frame of her second story open window to clean it. She was naked. But never mind that fact,LOL…… Anyway, the chopper came out of nowhere, it scared her, she fell out of the window and hit her head on a rock. She was unconscious for half an hour and woke up naked on the ground with a headache. The veterinarian told me choppers have scared livestock into fences where they were injured and/or died. I am not saying that choppers are bad. I am saying they can cause problems and do not own the airspace and need to be respectful. Many pilots, NOT ALL, feel they have impunity and can do whatever they want. And that is not right either. That is the truth. AGAIN, not saying ALL are bad, just stating facts. Also let us bring up the death factor for the pretty view concept. An AVERAGE of a crash or hard landing, which is crash, happens once a month. That is just a fact, sorry

While we're on the subject of helicopters; I feel I must relay the experience I had recently with a Helicopter Pilot at the Lava Shack in Pahoa.

He was performing on the guitar at the weekly "open mike" night. He first played this beautiful melodic instrumental that left the audience speechless. When done; he said "That was a little number I wrote called I nailed her on the pool table"

He was drinking pretty heavily, and immediately launched into another beautiful song that positively dazzled the crowd. When he was done he said "Thank you folks, that was a song I wrote called My dog just crapped in your yard"

He kept up like this for several more songs while pounding down the booze. This was getting pretty interesting; beautiful music with unusual titles.

Finally, he took a break and careened into the bathroom. When he stumbled out I commented; "Do you know your zippers down and your junk's hanging out?"

He replied; "Know it? Hell, I wrote it!"

Well stated. The realization that a river of magma is below them dampens the hippy spirit if it's purchased at the Gap. Secondly, with national politics being so well, you know, the youth are turning to local issues. Freaks them out. We'd have a colony on the moon, pumping out the science if it weren't for such clueless disrespectful posers.

An admin from HCC recently said they are getting new students that have graduated from the local high schools and many have 4th grade math skills and read at the 6th grade level. They are kind of mystified what to do with them, there is no way the community college can bring them up to college level in a year or two, by the time they are supposed to be graduating with an associates degree.

Had some experiences with Connections Charter and now know why the upper class neighborhood is fighting tooth and nail against that school in their neighborhood. That is a thug-gangsta academy, they get out of school and they are all over town, cavorting with the homeless, gangsta tagging, dealing drugs (watched more than a couple deals going down) and stealing right and left. People go, "Oh look the children are smiling and laughing". Of course, kids that are allowed to screw off and play all day are going to be smiling and laughing, they don't have to work. They are developing street smarts though. All just preparation for this future Hawaii that this screwy emo-gushiness view is leading to.

The OP is a satire (like The Onion) but it does show more awareness of the damage being caused by social media. Facebook is a competitor of Google, yet is very reliant on Google algorithms for the "viral" structure. Google is making changes in some basic algorithms that are going to start breaking these "chain letter" groupings that allow for viral spreading. There are other people looking at breaking the structure social media relies on.

One fact that is emerging is anti-science people also end up being science illiterate.
