Poll: community organizations in Puna
#11
I agree with both of you Smile
We are seeking an attorney now. We have no other recourse at this point. We are refused documents we are entitled to, and they act like they have no accountability

Wow, that is sad how your mind works, and with your last statement you would just sit do nothing then ? Is calling me corrupt some shame tactic to make me stop asking? Because that is exactly the kind of bs thinking I am dealing with in these organizations?
It is called DEFLECTION
It won't work on me, nice try [Big Grin]

And what party line are you referring to ? I am not political, you are making assumptions and if you were being robbed for thousands of dollars you might feel differently

I got the idea you were with me until I read the last line that where you comment about those crying about corruption are corrupt. That got me confused and so I responded to that. And by the way I am female, the reason I use the name Thunderfoot for my screen name is that is my real legal name. Sometimes that strong name makes people think I am a man. I am used to it. I didn't name myself. If I did it wouldn't have the word foot in it.
At least I am honest, up- front and willing to admit when I am wrong. still not sure about your last statement though of the one calling corruption being corrupt. because I am calling corruption foul and I am not corrupt. I actually went through a 25 year apprenticeship in my culture to learn many things, and the principles by which must live are as follows : Dedication, Discipline, Honor, Charity and Spirituality. I hold those very dear to me and try to live up to those things with the best of my ability. I am not perfect, but am honest and pride myself on my integrity.

By the way three of those organizations' peoples were literally caught red- handed stealing our neighborhood watch signs. So, what else will they steal ? Our money is obviously one of them. so, yeah, am calling corruption on them.

they act like they have no accountability

That's because ... they don't. It is both laudable and naive to expect otherwise. Good luck.

Thanks and I have been known to move mountains in the past. I never used to luck to move it either. I never had much of lady luck in my life at all, but anyway,Thanks for the support.

Oh, the impossible thing that others said I would never do and did, was obtain bison bison, scientific name for American Indian buffalo. People said I would never do it, perhaps I was naieve ? But in 2001 I did that very thing and still have two of them to this day. I could get more, but since my son passed away there is no one to leave them to, so, yeah. That brings me to my next mission impossible, and here we are,LOL

And I have filed many petitions as a" friend of the Court" for the Native American Center, so it can not be that hard to file against them. Oh, and I have also taken down real non-profits that have co-mingled money, and that was all they did. Plus the IRS is cracking down right now on business that claim the IRS Tax Code term of "non-profit" when they are not. I have 30 years non-profit and business experience. There you go, got experience, that disqualifies me for the definition of naive. [Big Grin]

Turns out we have found so much criminal activity going on with the FFCA and the Hui that the RICO ACT, False Claims Act and many other laws are being broken by these people. They are now using a court ordered mandatory road fees to scare people into giving them their lot. But the roads only has the power to put a lien on your property not take it because you didn't pay road fees. they are not the property tax office. And two road people and one Hui were caught stealing the neighborhood watch signs, of all things. They are guilty of money laundering, bribery, embezzlement, racketeering, extortion, co-mingling of funds, violation of a court order, collusion, conspiracy, fraud, electoral fraud, harassment, threatening people, making false Police reports, violations of our Constitutional and Civil rights, and more.
So, JUNE 27, 2015 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the community lot on Captain's drive in the Fern Forest subdivision to amend the By-laws and remove the Boards of both the FFCA and the Hui. This community has been under tyranny far too long and the time has come to clean house. There is no membership fee and all residents of Fern Forest can vote, not just lot owners. The residents are the community, not just the lot owners. So, things are going to change and please come to see what is going on and to vote. You can come anywhere in the time frame given to vote. This will be your last opportunity to be heard before Court. So this meeting is super important!!!

well, good luck. i will add you to my prayer list! HACA also has problems, but the present board is at least trying to deal with them. The biggest problem we face is a mix of bullying and apathy. those that care are frightened by the consequences of speaking up. the majority don't actually care at all. western society, by and large, is about 'self', not community.

My subdivision has no associations legal or otherwise. County maintained roads and water.

Question for Kalakoa - how did some subs luck out while others have issues? Connected developers?

how did some subs luck out while others have issues?

Current working theory: County "washed their hands" of the vast "private" subdivisions, which were effectively forced to create some kind of governance. The problem seems to be "worse" where mandatory dues/fees make an attractive target.

Exacerbated by: subdivisions are too large, too many people want too many different things, so there's an internal power struggle between "gentrify" and "keep it country".

There are "adjacent subdivided lots" which are just a bunch of lots on County roads; these have no independent political entity, and were probably created by some well-connected developer, or someone paid County to create the roads (haha).

Hawaiian acres (HACA ) does have the same problems you are referring to ,they have a board of directors that operates in secrecy , changing the meeting dates and times without informing the paying members. for the past several meetings the board members have threatened the paying members . threatened to kick them out for speaking up, or taking notes at the meetings. some of the board have been appointed . when the board is asked questions they become confrontational, refuse to answer questions on money expenditures. some of the board members do not even own a property in the subdivision, yet are working to change the by laws and dictate policy to the property owners. it is a situation that is upside down . the community and, property owners are loosing their community center to a take over group that is self serving , taking control of the building , and money with no accountability to the members. most recently the liability insurance was cancelled , that leaves the building and property owners at risk.
class action , bring it on .
