shows 4.8 or 5.0 depending on what agency you look at... happened over in the area of Pahala....

When all is said and done - we guess maybe 4.7 at most .Nothing really big though,if it lasted over a minute or two, then yes,but felt less than 10 seconds .

We had our little grand daughter over for the night. Her, and I , slept right through the earthquake. My wife felt said our couch was swaying back and forth here in HPP. My daughter called right away from her place in Ainaloa after she felt the quake.

The worst one I was in at work on the Duwamish River in South Seattle at our truck repair shop. That one knocked out the power and really shook. UPS delivery vans in our shop for repairs were literally jumping off the ground and hopping as if they were alive . The old metal building we were in was creaking like mad. After seeing the UPS trucks jumping in fright, I hastily exited the building!

Jon, are you referring to the Nisqually quake back in 2001 in Seattle? I was working in Issaquah when that one hit....went outside in the parking lot and we watched the ground undulate as we all tried to keep our balance.
