hot dry spell

When was the last time it rained? Looking at the 10 day 'forecast' it shows no precipitation on the horizon. It's been so hot we've already had to water some stuff.

It was so hot in lower hpp..we had to turn on the air conditioner for the first time this year. Needless to say we have't gone out much

Really chose a bad day to mow the lawn. It wasn't fun...

We've been getting some gentle overnight showers in lower HPP but the heat during the day has been oppressive, at least for me. Feels more like August and September rather than June.

We might get some more significant rain mid-week, some tropical moisture south of us is currently forecast to move over the island then. However, it's raining right now but nothing significant. It's cooled things down a little though.

So that is why we have not gotten any rain for several days here on 22nd near Makuu - Jon has been taking it all.
That range we got from you is still cooking away out on the lanai.

just had a downpour in Hawaiian Beaches and raining pretty good right now...

Besides that Hilo got up to 88 today, broke a record... Actually the state broke two records yesterday, one here and one on maui.

Allen, glad that stove is getting used!

Tom, I saw a screen shot of a gsp (that a couple I knew from working at a Harley dealer in Tacoma. Wa. put on facebook) and the temperature shows 107. That's Las Vegas summer time weather! It was taken on a motorcycle ride near Spokane, Wa.

Proof positive that our meteorologists have no clue what they're talking about when it comes to weather forecasting in Hawaii. They're wrong half the time. I could guess and be wrong half the time.
