hate van in hilo
The guy is a Right Wing Republican. He represents what is left of the far right fringe after the Teapublican effort fell apart. All of his positions are elements of the "conservative" Republican platform. The Hawaiian Kingdom is also being backed and pushed by the Republicans. There are native Hawaiians in that group that heartily admit they are "conservatives", not even knowing that means Republican. There are several other things suddenly being driven in what appears to be a concerted effort for Hawaii to become more like a combination of Kentucky, Kansas and Texas. All fundamentalist and evangelical christians are Republicans, almost all Mormons are, definitely all gun lovers, bible thumpers of one sort or another, emphasizing guilt, sin and fear.

Anti-science is a Republican platform. That is why they are trying to have the ten commandments in schools, school prayer, and using the bible for a "science" textbook. It would seem their platform is totally regressionist, yet large groups sign on to this fight to return to 1000 AD. The way things are going, it looks like they are going to prove they are the right, bringing haole mainland rubbish to these islands. There are more and more coming, and it is from personal experience to start hearing about "Obummer" being their scapegoat for everything they see wrong (in their little beady eyes).

pahoated, you are the typical left-wing fool who screams tolerance yet are the most intolerant of others yourself. You sure have a lot of hate for being mr tolerant liberal. Hawaii's issues come directly from the continued election of left-wing nuts like yourself.

I think PT is in a category all his own, the category of "I make stuff up which has no bearing on reality".

I'm pretty sure he irritates the left as much as he irritates the right, and he clearly can't stand anyone who doesn't think just like him, which is pretty much everyone on the planet.

The right to free speech is the right to... expression of ideas through any medium, including images.

That is the way the amendment is now interpreted.

But when the Constitution was written, free speech would have included the written word, or a speech in a public square or forum, maybe even a hand drawn cartoon. Each of these expressions of a person's opinion would have required time, effort, and some intelligence.

Now compare that to a guy who takes government funds that he was not entitled to, fills up his gas tank with our tax money, drives to the nearest Office Max to enlarge and print a graphic photograph, hangs that photo from his truck, and parks in a spot all day long doing nothing.

Yes, it's freedom of speech. As well as freedom of time, any effort or intelligence.

Went by about 11:15 and not one hate message to be seen! Lots of signs with Aloha though and people waving!

Mahalo Kapohocat for the excellent news. Something interesting regarding obscenity. When images of his abortion picture were put on the Big Island Video News - the image was blurred. So that means it's not obscene when he posts it next to a children's park, but it is obscene on media?

Also call Mayor Kenoi's office at 961-8211, ask for Shar. Tell them you've already called Public Works and Chung's office and that you want to leave a complaint for the mayor.

What a condescending response. No better than a 'mudslinger'. What a boob you are!
