I really dislike his message, but believe he does have a legal right to display it. If some people can get his message banned, that means that some people could get any message I display banned. It's a slippery slope.
The displacement with positive messages is a brilliant solution.

I'm in Lee M-S's camp. This guy is utterly offensive, but unless he's breaking the law I just don't see how you can prevent him doing what he does. I can't sign a petition that, as Lee states, will be the start of a slippery slope.

I totally agree with you. I also agree with the idea of asking him nicely to move to another street, away from the park, or places where there are young children when displaying images of aborted fetuses. It's just not appropriate in that setting.

Interesting how some people that claim to be offended by hate are so quick to turn hatred towards anybody that doesn't agree with them. Typical redneck right wing Republican hypocrisy. Posting the truth about the redneck right wing always brings them out. They recognize themselves, feel threatened and lash out, seen it personally many times. It is only redneck right wing Republicans that come up with terms like "Obummer", and that is one of the nicer terms. The platforms that guy has on his signs are redneck right wing Republican platforms, every one of them.

People that are so imaginary conspiracy fixated can't seem to comprehend real conspiracies. It was a pack of Republicans that conspired to launch an unprovoked war against Iraq which has destabilized the entire Middle East, north Africa and east Europe. It is a Republican platform to get rid of Medicare completely, and it is their legislation towards this goal that is causing hospitals to begin massive layoffs due to huge decreases in Medicare coverage. That is the mystery, why so many people support being treated like pigs in a pig pen.

To those who don't want to sign the petition for fear of a "slippery slope" & losing our 1st amendment rights; have you read the description at the petition site? In part: "These signs not only disturb the Aloha that surrounds our sweet park, they scare away many families from entering. The images pose a threat to the emotional and mental welfare of children who are subjected to those graphically violent images." Like I said before the media censors blurred the images that we & children are subjected to in real life. One still cannot shout "FIRE" in a crowded theater.
