AKpilot: Agreed. What the telescopes do is precious and good for humanity and our world. Some on this site don't know.

PS Tom....thank you for the kind words!

Imu piggie roast at our place in Pa'auilo next time I am on island. You are invited!

Time to hit the hay, exploding engines, failed flight controls and flaming cabins await me in tomorrows sim session.

They don't call it the "hot box" for nothin'.

Good luck with the sim session, I've read they can be pretty tough and stressful! Unfortunately, no, it wasn't me you met at the Keck picnic, I wasn't there.

Yes, no crashes and the sim was still useable!

I still have one more day; flying in bush Alaska means we need a couple extra days of training every year to prove to the Feds we still know how to do the "tricky" flying we do into really tough places.

It's always funny to see the reaction of the instructors when we pull up the LDA's (instrument approaches) into Petersburg, Juneau, Valdez, or the super-trained RNAV into Dutch Harbor. Fun stuff. Keep fighting the good fight on the Summit!

And keep looking up!
