chevy cavalier with a manual transmission, it's the plastic bushing that holds the shifter control cable to the top of the transmission,
will pay for it if anyone knows where there is one.2.2 motor 5 speed

What year, engine size... 4 speed or 5 speed. Don't have one but love to search for stuff like that.

Those things are usually generic and you can find them in the Help section of the autoparts stores.Pahoa auto parts has them hanging on the wall one the left side when you walk in.
If not give me the year of the car and maybe I can help.

no I have that diagram from chevy, they said the $5 part I need comes with the whole shifter control assembly, $230 their cost, other sites around $140, it sucks it's just a small plastic bushing that holds the shifter control cable to the top of the transmission linkage

I think they come in pairs now... I usually check RockAuto to get a part number and then check Amazon then eBay. RockAuto ships via Priority mail and could be spendy but the parts prices are usually reasonable. Good luck.

I found online that people are using Dorman # 14041 to repair shift linkage.Look at this and see if one of these would work.They say it's not an exact fit but it works.It's available at O'reilly.

bought that kit from oreilly's none of them will work, finally found one in Oregon, had to buy the whole cable with it, will get it this week(hopefully right one).
