Someone must've read PT this past wk as the board reps' names were finally updated w/in the past couple days after 4 mos of non action. Their term expiration dates are screwed up as you will see 3 of their terms expired in June 2015. Isn't it a simple enough task to post it correctly? One district is listed as vacant. I assume they're taking applications for the vacancy.
Apparently someone posted on an HPP facebook that his road was getting chip sealed. He wouldn't respond to his location.
At the July board mtg the board rescinded any action on chip seal. At the August board mtg nothing was discussed or voted on to chip seal. If they are in deed chip sealing, these board members are brazenly breaking our bylaws and spending our $.
AND coupled w/the fact they are still supposed to honor the motion on the floor from the last membership mtg to NOT move ahead on chip seal until the membership finishes up their biz on this at the October membership mtg. We were in the debate part of the exact wording of the motion in June 2015 w/one initial vote taken, and the majority of the members voted for no action to take place on chip sealing until a presentation happened first and then member vote after. No chip sealing should be happening.
The board is deviating from asphalt to improve our roads. With the high price tag...I heard over $300,000 at one of the board mtgs for 7 roads, and the non transparency observed over the process is the concern. After that $ is gone, it'll be quite awhile before any more roads can be chip sealed. The GM said it should last 5 yrs. Before any more roads can be done, he'll have to be doing maintenance on the ones already done. The last I heard, the talk was that they weren't going to use a contractor. It would all be in house.
Chip seal is on the Sep 2015 board mtg agenda. Please attend the meeting on the 16th.

At this time emails sent to the HPPOA email address on the website bounce back. I am so glad we paid someone's relative a small fortune to provide us with a website that doesn't even have working email. I guess they really don't want to hear from the members.

It is my understanding the IT Company that worked with HPP for years gave notice to HPP because they had problems with the new BOD installed back in 2014. It is that company who linked the emails for the BOD. Now all they have is the blind leading the blind over there. Big Egos with no experience on managing a Multi-Million dollar corporation!

I've heard that the new BOD president can't get his HPP director's email.
They fired everyone and anyone because of one thing, personal animosity all based on lies and hearsay from a very small group with an agenda. Most of that agenda was hatched before the new directors took office last year. Now, we are all paying for it.

Yes, I've had several problems with this. And was told by a woman in the office to send e-mails to her and she would "forward them on." I don't think so...Here's an idea: each board member could get a free yahoo or g-mail e-mail to use just for HPP biz and post these addresses on the web site. Then maybe they would get, and respond to, queries. Clearly the old system is not working.

My guess is they don't actually want communication with members. If they can stay unreachable they can pretend the roads are still being maintained and we are still getting the same level of service we got just two years ago and assume no one is unhappy with the condition of their roads.

yes, I'm sure that's what they are thinking. I haven't seen anything to the contrary.
Any board members reading this? Please explain how I can contact you directly.

Non transparency and limited communication has been the MO from the start of 2014-2015 and it appears there's no end in sight. This is how they have run HPP for over a year now. There was nothing wrong w/our previous website yet they decided to get a new one without a board mtg & w/out board vote. They haven't learned the most fundamental bylaw still that it takes a majority of a board vote to approve any and all actions.
The Conch is supposed to be put out I believe 3 x's a year. The financial statements are always very late...has anyone gotten their's yet? The agendas, minutes and vacancy posts are always very late. The elections got messed up this year due to neglect. If you can't read the minutes, you won't know what's going on until it's over and done with. Maybe that's the plan. That's why it's important to attend meetings when you can so you know what's going on in real time.

I don't know where you're getting your information. Maybe it's the misinformation that's been going around by the one who got us in the lawsuit and has been trying to shift the blame ever since. To believe others are responsible means you have to believe that someone twisted these head strong women's arms and made them all do it. This is just more of her throwing stuff on the wall to see what will stick.
Anyone's who's been attending board mtgs regularly has observed that you can't make these women do anything they don't want to. They are arrogant and have been empire building since day 1. Wiping the slate clean...having changed the whole ofc operating structure to fit a particular person which has resulted in the GM's job being out of whack w/our bylaws now and the many problems over the past yr bc the ofc manager was unqualified.
They haven't listened to anyone who was experienced and tried to help, which is why we're all in the predicament we're in. 6 board members quit in less than a year. It's easier to shift blame elsewhere when mistakes are made and there have been a lot of them and they've only themselves to blame.

Depends which district you're talking about. Some still use their personal email addresses bc some HPP ones work and some don't. Go figure.
