Moving Companies and Auto Sales?
#1
Due to circumstances beyond my control I will be moving back to the mainland in early November. Remembering the movers from hell that I endured moving here back in ’04, thought I’d ask for recommendations now that I’ll be going the other way. Actually, the movers here were great, it was the jerks in San Diego that did the damage. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of the moving company that took over on this end. Any thoughts, recommendations, stories will be appreciated.

Next question … I won’t be shipping my good ol’ truck back, selling it here. I will need it, however, until just a day before, or the day, I climb on the plane so am wondering if there are any honest, reliable consignment lots where I can leave it to be sold later? Again, anything you can tell me will be terrific. Mahalo!

Perhaps you can reach an agreement with a private party to have them take ownership at that time, or a buy/lease back agreement until again you go. Just a thought....

Aiona Car Sales should be able to take care of your truck for you, stop in and talk story! They are next to Blaines and Lex Brodies in Hilo. As far as movers, I would avoid Big Island Movers since they damaged property of mine once, as their man was large but not strong...

Rocketman and Nancy - I've tried numerous times to email each of you and keep getting an error message saying 500 (internal server) error and "Beware of Sharks!" My email is horizon@flex.com and if you will send me a message there, I will reply with the truck info you requested. Long way around but should work. Aloha!
