Ino: "Recently someone posted a post mentioning Puna Weather on Facebook. So I joined and have switched my weather posts over to there. It seems more apppropiate to post weather stuff there."
What a shame, I really appreciated Ino's posts on weather.
I am so sorry to lose a knowledgable and informative source of information here on punaweb. It seems like the trolls are winning, we keep losing reasonable voices and gaining shrill screamers who misquote, edit posts after they've been responded to, and claim people said things they did not, until soon that will be all that is left.

Yeh after you attacked MarkP I decided not to post anything on that topic.I have held an FAA license since 1967 and I am very knowledgeable about FAA policies and procedures.I also could have corrected the numerous mistakes that were posted as truth but I chose to remain silent.

Sounds like a reference to shockwave rider.

I vote for another week of dry weather, free of cyclonic vagrants lurking in the shadows. Rain in the evenings is fine.

(BBM) Completely agree. Mahalo, Ino, sorry to see you go.
Some people lack social skills, decorum, niceties, manners, and basic decency. We're stuck with some real miserable human beings on this forum these days. Or, just jerks with no class.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits (and other areas) of those who continue the baiting and trolling. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be merciful again, and please, clean out the trash in Puna.
Be safe all.

While not dire, the 5 Day Track for Oho doesn't exactly feel like a tonic for the nerves:

I don't much care for that zigzag meander leading Oho to the east of us.

I haven't seen a hydrology forecast (rainfall), but the wet weather may well last through Wednesday or Thursday. I think a lot depends on the ultimate track of Oho which has a lot of uncertainty right now.

This tropical storm Oho is about 300 miles south of us and "wandering" back and forth and intensifying. They predict it will be a cat 1 hurricane by Monday. While they believe it will not "hit" the big island...the heavy precip will be around for most of next week.
