Just wondering if anyone else has had South American Muskovey ducks show up in your yard recently? A neighbor had one at his place 3 days ago and we have two that have appeared at our place.

We raise them on our small farm. They taste amazingly like beef. They get very big quickly and are great at keeping weeds etc down. The eggs have huge yolks and they are great for baking with or just eating like a chicken egg. If you find a buyer you can get $12 for a dozen eggs, maybe more. Toss them some occasional unmedicated flock raiser and give them a kiddie pool and they'll adopt you.

No wonder the local population goes down during the holidays.

Escapees... lol. Well, we'll see if they stick around. They seem to get along with our geese and chickens. The more the merrier I suppose.

A flock of them flew into my neighborhood last year around this time. They hung out in the road around the big puddles. Sadly dogs decimated them and they were gone within a month or two.
