Tulsi Gabbard disinvited from debate

Top Democratic official: I was disinvited from debate

"Washington (CNN)Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said she was disinvited from Tuesday night's first Democratic debate after voicing a call for more of them.

Gabbard, the vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Monday on "The Situation Room" she was told her vocal support for more debates had made her "no longer welcome to come to the debate.""

Is it just me, or is our U.S. Representative being sidelined because she doesn't support the coronation of Hillary? More debates = more chances to see that the Empress has no clothes.

P.S. It's gonna be hard to keep this one Hawaii only, Rob.

She doesn't make decisions that reflect positive outcomes for our state.

This isn't the first time this has been realized in the public eye.

Time to go, congrats on your promotion in the national guard - looks like she'll have something else to do with her time.

We need leaders that understand the system and can make compromises with their peers to affect positive change in Hawaii.

Crying publicly is not earning her any friends and only diminishing her ability to play a role on the national level as a representative of Hawaii.

She has been on traveling junkets with Republicans. We get it. She is hip and cool and so with it, a Hindu surfer girl during the week, a military super leader on the weekends, a true Wonder Woman. What has she done for Hawaii while in her super hero role? Zilch.

Wasn't she responsible for getting the VA to change their guidelines for VA loans to accept catchment systems.

She stood up and voted to defund the NSA, that won me over.

However, she hasn't done anything to benefit pahoated personally so she gots to go.

Wow, you equate me with the whole state of Hawaii? How special.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard: The Democrat that Republicans love and the DNC can’t control

Vets getting home loans with catchment systems is really stretching it, especially since she missed the photo op for it by going surfing. She is in her first term, she was made the vice chair of the DNC, and started out saying the DNC wasn't doing its job by not having more debates. Don't really see how any of this helps Hawaii in the least, sounds like being put in that position has given her a giant blimp head.

What do you expect from a first time congressperson?

I for one welcome a person willing to speak their mind and not bow to the party line. I think politics is messed up enough with 2 monolithic opposing parties.

So what exactly has Mr. Schatz done for Hawaii and he is basically a DNC puppet. He is arguably in a better position and buddy buddy with Obama.

Disclaimer: I have been a long term democrat who basically moved independent, so please don't accuse me of being republican. Also, I didn't vote for Gabbard, she just impressed me with her NSA vote.

I only wish the political system actually had two parties.

I agree with you that it is good that she speaks her mind , and that she disagrees with the spying being done by the NSA, although the spying will continue imo. The fact that she valued surfing more than a photo op is also a good sign as she appears not to be interested in
that kind of self flattery that so many of her peers would jump on when the occasion arises. Time will tell whether this is the right approach for a successful re-election campaign should she choose to run again.
Her comment on having more debates and then being dis-invited to the debate, speaks volumes on the present composition of the DNC and their leadership of same.
Also agree with your assessment on Schatz.
As far as voting independent, it seems like it will be a long time before that makes a difference, except in a negative sense of making it easier for one candidate in the offical parties to benefit from that vote.

She is now a major in the National Guard. She is also a freshman house representative that has openly and loudly criticized the President for not sending more firepower against Islamic State. Nobody is finding this news strangely connected?

With all the bases in Europe, all the aircraft carriers in the area, the Hawaii Air National Guard has to be called out to bomb Syria?
