Issac Hale warm Pond
#1
About a year ago the little warm pond down the path behind the boat launch at Issac Hale was in pretty rough shape. Trees had fallen in after the hurricane and there was some kind of critter in the water that nibbled on me (something VERY small) it was night and I did't investigate. How is the little warm pond doing now? Any reports?

How are the Mermaid Ponds on the Waa Waa?

Just wondering how my favorite little Puna places are doing.

yup, I'm guessing those were the nibblers! How's the pond doing?

Last time I checked, Sept, it was stagnant - even at high tide. It was very low & not appealing. I thought after the huge waves & high tides, it would have washed it out.

Mahalo to the menehune who cleared the pond after Iselle. Now, a year later, it is back. However, I am reminded of the bumper sticker Surfing Sucks, Don't Try It. It is there if you want it.
