Question is... What island is he going to send em to?

Ige says safety is his first priority. Geee, hope he has better success with the refugees than the protectors on mauna kea!

Ought to be interesting to see what "kind of state resources" he's talking about. Last time I looked we got tons of homeless that don't get any resources.

"He says the U.S. accepts refugees only after conducting the highest level of screening and security checks."

How do you do that? These people are coming with only the clothes on their backs and the extremists are blending in with fake documents and stolen identities.

What an irresponsible thing to do.
These people would be added to an already out of control Homeless situation.
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

As much as genuine refugees need help, you'd think Ige and his advisers might have considered delaying this announcement after what has just occurred in Paris. This couldn't have been timed more poorly.

Auwe No hoi E! Where's da aloha people? These refugees are not leaving their home land and place of birth for no reason. Where's the compassion? I'm embarrased for you for feeling that way. Welcome them, show them aloha! Relax dis ain't da mainland!

Our president does want to help while others are not so sure yet.

Why, or why not Hawaii?

Why not? Maybe because it has already been proven that ISIL members have been getting into other countries, pretending to be refugees.

I hear Ige has a couple of spare bedrooms in his home. May be he'll allow a few to move in.

Homeland Security has a 5 year screening process from what I've heard. Don't expect any of this to happen soon. Besides, in the US you are much more likely to be shot by a cop than a terrorist.
