Ige welcomes syrian refugees.

Interesting. I noticed that most are going towards Western Eouropean capitals and trans continental hubs. Too bad migration points beyond Europe are not shown, i.e.: from those Western hubs to US, Canada, South America, etc..

They are headed to Western European capitals because those are closest/easiest to get to.

it was only a month ago that Ige declared a " state of emergency" with the homeless situation and so far very little has changed since he made that declaration, there is still a housing shortage.
yes taxes will have to increase drastically to support another boatload of indigents.

Ignore at your own peril. We all aren't xenophobes, bigots and the other names the know-it-alls use. This is a big serious problem and these people are seeing it everyday

Most of the time, that is 100% correct.

People think that everybody who arrives here is "radicalized". Nothing could be further from the truth. The two young refugees who came here and bombed the Boston Marathon 14 years later were radicalized right here in the good ole USA.

Actually the older brother was a radical(the elder taught the younger over here)while in Chechen-Ingush, Russians gave the US agencies warning about the brothers before they got here. Remember the bombed school house?

they head to Germany and Scandinavia because there are well paid jobs and enormous amounts of subsidies to settle, period. Syrians made the headlines in Uruguay recently when they demanded be sent to Germany instead because the subsidies they got from the Uruguayan government were not near enough comparing to that they could get in Europe. Whole families camped out in front of the Parliament demanding the Uruguayan government paid their relocation costs to Germany. These are economic refuges, mostly young fit men that should be fighting for their country.

The terrorists in Paris had EU passports (yes, I know a Syrian passport was found at the scene...) and could have quickly and easily arrived in Waikiki or Kona to do damage with a beach towel in hand. Why would a refugee wait months or years to get permission? The men, women and children are fleeing the same Crazy we bred. We were on the wrong side of history ( or humanity) many times with immigrants, have we learned nothing? Lastly, although Hawaii will probably see no middle eastern immigrants any time soon, these are some of the best educated refugees and we should welcome industrious doctors, engineers, accountants, programmers to our shores...

We have always (maybe not a long time ago mid 1800s) brought in immigrants, mainly to do the ground work that built this country, but that was the way into many if not all growing nation states since the beginning of nation building the world over. Yes, and not well treated or respected, but they continued to come as did my forebears in the late 1800s. No we're not perfect, but that was the times and attitudes. Some things change some don't.

Do you believe that, that those, whom are spoken against, are those kind of people really?
Those kind enter via the H1B visa system and have been doing so for a long time.

I've put in a lot of years (40+) in Mechanical Engineering and Design and can attest to the fact that we have, (especially the last 15yrs+) overwhelmingly been hiring almost all who have applied from outside our borders, namely outsourced and many times to the detriment of our citizens (primarily new grads BS an above.

As an aside many, many on the mainland oppose only the illegals that are just that illegally here.
They have been always been received openly, as long as they did it the right way the correct way, the legal way.

Come here (outskirts of Chicago) and live amongst these idiots and then tell me something.
Between them and the Blacks that seem to be trying to do population control through the end of a gun the city is gone, except for small enclaves of Yuppie Gentrification.

I've watched the place for 60+ years (72 yrs) raised on the Near West Side, attended Crain Tech HS, IIT. I know that city like the back of my hand. Know of what you speak

Talk of which you actually are aware of and studied, don't use hearsay.
