Just thought I'd start a new thread for the subdivisions in the Puna area, or where ever!
Of course our favorite was Lelani when we first got started, but we bought in Eden Roc which is our now favorite.
Why you might ask! It is rural, but not too rural, it has elevation and is a little less humid and steamy, it is not overcrowded and in fact some people call it the wild west, but we are pioneers. It is just right for us, and we are looking forward to our move!
So whatz your favorite???

Mella, just remember, we don't want Puna to become another Kona! Therefore, there are no favorites, the whole area sucks, etc.!

Hey Eden Roc rocks out and is in zone 3! When the rap gets too bad I have Pavoratti just waiting in the wings or Michael Crawford LOL!!

My LEAST favorite subdivision is Orchidland. The people are mean, the lots are mediocre, at best, and it rains WAY too much.
This subdivision should be burned to the ground and forgotten.
Just in case you didn't notice, I'm being sarcastic.

I loath Leilani and Nanawale with a bright and violent passion. Oh, and Puna Beach Palisades, Kehena and Kapoho are nasty horrible places filled with evil people that kill kittens and drink their blood.
<sniff> Is that sarcasm I smell?
OK, maybe I'm just a little over the top. I'm so glad this forum is a more relaxed about kidding around.

Let's see, I own lots in Royal Hawaiian Estates, HPP, Nanawale Estates and Leilani Estates, therefore, I have personal experiences in those areas. I must have been on Puna Butter going into those areas and I even made a mistake of going back and buy more lots in some of those subdivisions!

Between mile marker 17 and 18 HWY 11, apx 2300 foot elevation. Roads are imaginative to an extent, we personally saw a lot of junk cars but they can be towed. Lower Mauna Kea Rd is ok the rest was real rough when we were there.
P Lamont would be the best source of information on this sub division as she is probably the closest punaweb member to this area I believe. Also she rented a place on Oshiro Rd so Aloha Estates in half way between where she rented for quite sometime and where her home is. Hope this helps. How is the itinerary going! LOL
