If you don't mind...
What brand did you get, and where did you buy it? What was the CF size? Did it come with a yellow sticker? What was the average yearly cost or consumption in KW hours? Thanks.
Might be picking up a new fridge, or buying one from cold stone. We'll see!
.02 more on fridge if anyone did not check yet ...
There is a sweet spot of efficiency right around 18 - 20 CF. Check the numbers before you go for a tiny one thinking it will cost less to run.
Don't jam it against the back wall. ... Better yet, put it 45/45 in a corner or maybe even a place where it might get a breeze blowing on it. If you can deal with it being a little higher ... Put it up on blocks as well.

Seriously, unless you need cold beer all the time why do you even need a fridge? Buy an Igloo cooler and a bag of ice when you really need to keep something cold.
Eggs dont need to refrigeration and neither does powdered milk. Who buys whole chickens or big fish?
Buy small containers of items and shop for fresh foods cooked same or next day. Cabbage, carrots, apples, oranges, pineapple, papaya all last several days

dunno, my fridge is only 3-4" from the wall, I think was really matter's WALL wise, is don't put your fridge on a wall where the sun beats on a wall..
I don't have my fridge on blocks either, but you can clean the coils, that would be more important I think. Had mine for over 4 years now, and it's not sucking down any more or less then when we first purchased it. Tho, I haven't tested it lately. Might be time to do a yearly wattage test... Make sure it's still running at 1 KWH a day (average). I listed a huge list of ways to maximise fridge efficiency. Do a search on here for it, I'm not about to repeat myself again for that. Buy a killawatt and check your fridge usage .. make sure it's really using what it states.
Eric,
Maybe you can try it then add to your list which you really owe us to put back up here if you gonna be bragging about it ...

ETA: My list. Couldn't find Eric's.
Another thing we've added is solar powered motion detection security LED lights to replace the wired variety we used to have. They have finally got to the point where they are as bright or brighter than wired variety.
