I am more than familiar with both links. Nothing you posted addresses my post's concerns.

"I'd say one of those comments which doesn't even warrant the effort of a reply."

I think punatic007 is simply seeing something in my comment which just isn't there. The CBS article, from 2009, is a great example to apply the techniques used in the baloney detection kit.

From the CBS article: "The risks of serious adverse events including death reported after Gardasil use in (the JAMA article by CDC's Dr. Barbara Slade) were 3.4/100,000 doses distributed."

VAERS, the system used by the CDC to report 'serious adverse events' after vaccination, takes any adverse event into it's database. You could literally have a similar rate after giving subjects a drink of water. Before throwing vague aspersions around, wouldn't it be wise to have an actual argument to support the anti vaccine position?

Here's a duration of efficacy study:

http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/co...4.abstract

According to the CDC, 79 million Americans are infected with HPV with 14 million new cases a year. 360,000 estimated current cases of genital warts and 11,000 cases of cervical cancer each year.

Here's the fact sheet for clinicians from the CDC: http://www.cdc.gov/hpv/hcp/need-to-know.pdf

The 2014 recommendation from ACIP (the CDC's advisory committee on immunization practices): http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/rr6305a1.htm

The vast majority of those reading this thread, including myself, have likely been exposed to HPV. That makes you at one point capable of being a carrier and infecting others.

Personally, I would feel better knowing I wasnt infecting others with HPV.

What an excellent point of view. Thank you for sharing it.

Another thing to consider for those regarding that article as having weight because it was on CBS - it was written by Sharyl Attkisson, who now claims CBS is a tool of the Obama administration and that the government hacked her computers (after which she kept using them for some reason).

I copied the CBS link because I assumed it held some professional standards BUT there are many many article on the net cautioning that our current info about HPV and the vaccine is not yet to be taken as solid truth. Needs more research.

I don't see why so many would lie about reactions to a vaccine? What would be the point?

Greenmedinfo?! Yeah right!

Why? Because they are anti-science kooks.

I think you are the one who is polarizing here not the website. Some of my scientist friends can get quite boring when they polarize. But the really smart successful ones know to always keep an open mind, when it's shut, it's not so smart anymore. In fact the really really successful ones are amazingly open minded.

" GreenMedInfo.com is a website run by Sayer Ji that is anti-vaccination,[1][2][3][4] anti-GMO,[5][6][7] anti-fluoride[8], pro-cancer woo,[9][10][11][12][13][14] and generally against anything "modern-medicine",[15] declaring evidence-based medicine's reliability to be that of a coin flip.[16]"

..." Ji's most common article-writing strategy is to find a legitimate scientific article and then distort it to fit his own views.[20] Not only does this lend credibility to his writing, it also makes his job easier -- he doesn't need to come up with new content, just repeat work other people have done."

Sounds familiar.

What also sounds familiar is Punatic007's response. The only thing missing is a bewildering irrelevant tangent into the evils of welfare, the dangers of immigrant drivers, or growing marijuana.
