New Bengal Tiger Cubs Bound For Hilo
#1
Looks like the Hilo zoo is getting 2 Bengal tiger cubs next week. A seven month old boy and girl. They will be available to view March 4th. Hilo is also getting 2 alligators in April. I'm still waiting for an elephant

I heard the boy is white and the girl gold. But I thought they were still going to be kept out of sight for a few months, as part of the quarantine process.

Lee:. they will be in quarantine, but probably with in sight of visitors. From the FOZ nFeb Newsletter (we get it emailed & it is not on their web...but has these really cute tiger cub images!:
"These beautiful young tigers (A white male and orange female) were born in early July and are being gifted to our zoo. Now that all necessary permits are secured we are hoping to have them here before the end of February.
\\The cubs will remain quar- antined in the night house and attached play yard for 120 days after arrival and we are hoping to celebrate their Birthdays about the same time as their release from quarantine."

It's a shame they are using another poor, horribly inbred white to bring people & their money in.

The Pana'ewa Zoo had more visitors when Namaste was there then ever before. Yes, the visitors got in free but how many bought shave ice? Hot dogs? Drinks? Stopped at the gift shop to by white tiger shirts? Hats? Postcards. Stuffed white tigers? How may made sure they donated before they left? So yes, zoo made money. They learned with Namaste that poor, horribly inbred tigers that look good on the side, who cares what their health s really like, makes them money.
